Why I Stopped Building a Brokerage

What Happened to Under Construction

If you're reading this, you probably signed up for a newsletter called Under Construction. The plan was simple: I was going to fire up a brokerage, use my AI tool Trevy to run it, and document the whole thing. Zero to 50 closings a month. You were going to watch me build it in public.

Then I went silent. So let me tell you what actually happened.

The Tool Got Bigger Than the Brokerage

I'd already been building Trevy. It was a flow builder for Follow Up Boss with AI that wrote personalized emails at scale. You'd build a flow, plug in your leads, and Trevy would generate emails tailored to each person based on their profile, their activity, where they were in the pipeline. I had beta users on it. It was working.

Then AI changed everything.

Not in the way people talk about on LinkedIn. Not "AI is going to replace agents" fear-mongering. I mean the actual technology moved so fast that I looked at what Trevy could do and realized it wasn't even close to what was now possible. I didn't need a flow builder. I could build an AI assistant that just does the work. Your CRM, your email, your calendar, CMAs, reporting, database cleanup. All through a single conversation. No setup. No dragging nodes around. You just tell it what you need.

That's not an upgrade. That's a completely different product.

So I made the call. I shelved the brokerage. I rebuilt Trevy from the ground up.

Why I'm the One Building This

I've been inside over 500 Follow Up Boss accounts. Not as a user. As the guy teams call when their systems are broken. Through Amplified Solutions, I've built automations, fixed workflows, and seen every way a CRM can go wrong.

I know where agents struggle. I know what takes too long. I know which tasks you hate doing but can't skip. I know what falls through the cracks when you're busy.

That's what Trevy is built on. Not AI for the sake of AI. AI that solves the specific problems I've seen hundreds of teams deal with. Because I was the one in the account fixing them.

What's Different Now

Under Construction is done. The brokerage story isn't happening.
